Betr Review

Who is Betr and What do they do?

Betr is an Australian online Sport and Racing betting site.

Established in 2022, Betr provides punters with 16+ world wide sporting events, ranging from American football to ice hockey from the USA, Canada, and Europe

Betr also provides horse and greyhound racing.

Considering how young Betr is, their website is sleek, easy to use and arguable quite advanced in comparison to its competitors.

Betr provides punters with an easy to navigate site, with different and fun shades of blue allowing the website to flow seamlessly. It’s simple and sleek aesthetic gives you a very modern and structured feel.

Potential punters aren’t overwhelmed with a heap of information thrown at them upon first opening the Betr site.

Everything is categorised and organised into a group of information giving users a very up down feel to the website.

Betr’s home page has a simple rotating banner containing two ads, one promoting their responsible gambling resources and the other a banner with their catching company slogan, ‘the betting brand for racing fans’, promoting punters to sign up.

Further looking at the home page, much like your standard betting agency website, they have the contents call out list on the left, current racing information in the middle and the bet slip to your right.

However, despite its new, modern and fresh website interface, Betr lacks in providing their both potential and existing punters with live streaming and live betting services. This is something that can arguably be considered a standard in the online betting verse. Despite Betr’s sleek personality, without these services, Betr is at risk of being put behind it’s competitors and losing business.

The Betr Sign Up Process and What happens after.

The Betr team has made it nice and easy for users to locate and sign up to their service.

Users are able to click the ‘Join’ button in the top right hand corner, or, something I personally haven’t seen before, the ‘Getting Started’ button on the left hand side in the contents call out column.

Upon clicking on either of these options, you are redirected to their Sign Up page.

From here everything is straightforward and has a follow-the-prompt layout.

Betr ask you to provide basic details such as:

  • Full Name
  • Address
  • Date of Birth
  • Email Address
  • Phone number

They further prompt you to create a password, while also giving users the option to opt out of receiving promotional and marketing adverts.

You do not need to provide payment details or set a deposit limit as part of the sign up process.

Following signing up to Betr’s service, you are immediately transported through to your account tab. Here you are able to manage your account, deposit limits, withdrawals and gain access to the primary chunk of information and resources in regards to responsible gambling.

The rest of the website’s interface remains primarily the same. The only change that I found was that upon becoming a member, you now have access to the promotions that Betr having running.

Promotions

Under Australian regulation, Betr are unable to promote any promo codes, betting bonuses and sign up bonuses they might have.

However, upon logging onto your account, you are able to access the wide variety of promotions they have running both in their promotions tab to the left hand side, and their newest promotion running through their home screen banner.

Betr are currently running a total of 8 promotions. They provide a range of different promotions running on events such as the NRL, daily thoroughbred racing and more.

Payment Methods

One thing I have found Betr have lacked in, is their variety in payment method.

Unlike its competitors who provide an average of 5 payment methods including services such as PayPal or POLi for instance, Betr only provides its punters with a total of 3 if you’re using the app, and 2 if you are betting online.

On the Betr website you are able to pay via bank transfer or input your bank card details (visa/credit).

If you are using their app, Betr have now introduced Apple Pay making it quicker and easier to place your bets!

Tips and Stats

Setting them outside the majority of their competitors, both non-member and member punters have access to Betr’s Tips and Stats page.

Here you are able to find a wide variety of information to help punters find the event that best suits them.

Verifying your identity

In order to start betting with Betr, you must verify your identity.

You are prompted to do so upon creating your account and are restricted from betting until Betr have confirmed your age.

You will need to provide 2-4 different modes of identification.

This can include:

  • Drivers Licence
  • Medicare Card
  • Centrelink Card
  • Australian Passport
  • Australian Visa
  • Australian Electoral Roll
  • NZ Passport
  • A form of Identifying document

Responsible Gambling

Betr’s Responsible Gambling policies are well thought out and presented.

As we all know, gambling for most is meant as a leisure activity. However, for some, this leisure activity can become a serious problem.

Betr have provided punters with a wide range of services to help maintain control over their gambling.

Betr have curated options such as:

  • Deposit limits
  • Self Exclusion from both Betr alone as well as for the Self Exclusion Register for all betting agencies
  • Account Closure
  • Long Breaks
  • Short breaks

Contacting Betr

There are a range of ways you are able to contact Betr.

They have provided punters with a 24 hr Live Chat option.

Punters also have the options to give them a call between 8am and 11pm, as well as send an email.

The Betr App

The Betr app is accessible across all Android and Apple iOS products.

Upon downloading the app and going to sign in I was met with ‘unknown error 403’.

Once I was able to access my account, the Betr app worked similarly to their website.

The interface has the same layout (only now accommodating the structure of an app and phone screen).

They have separated the sports and racing events into different tabs which can be accessed at the bottom of the page. You are also able to access your betslip in the top right hand corner.

Punters are also able to set their FaceID and/or phone passcodes as a further safety precaution to their Betr App.

Like the website however, punters do not have the option to access live streaming and betting services.

 Conclusion

Overall, Betr is a fast, easy to use and secure service, gaining a 5/5 rating from us here at SportsBetKings.

They have made it easy for beginner punters, and kept things interesting for their experienced punters.

The only thing I would recommend is for Betr to incorporate live streaming and betting, as well as, integrate more payment methods for its users.
