Can Gai Waterhouse Win This Year’s Race?
So far Gai Waterhouse has failed to win the Cox Plate. It is a race she would love to win.
Gai Waterhouse can not understand why her horse Alligator Blood is not the favorite.
Alligator Blood has won over $7 million in its races.
Gai Waterhouse stated, “he has done everything right, I always thought he would run a strong 2000m and now he has done that I thought he would easily be the favorite”.
Can A Second Entry Increase Gai Waterhouse’s Chance Of Winning The Cox Plate?
Gai Waterhouse has a second horse running in this year’s Cox Plate. “Just Fine” is an interesting horse, he has been improving constantly and is in form.
“He’s (Just Fine) a very nice gelding, very determined, a horse on the rise, every time you raise the bar he does it,”
“When he first came here I liked him very much … but as we’ve thrown the ball he’s caught it and run with it, he’s really surprised us the way he keeps improving.”
It looks unlikely “Just Fine” will run in this year’s 2023 Cox Plate.
Just Fine jockey, Rachael King, was given orders not to ride in the Cox Plate by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bolt. She can’t make the 53kg required to enter the Cox Plate.
Gai Waterhouse
Gai Waterhouse was born on the 2nd of September 1954. Daughter of legendary horse trainer Tommy J Smith.
Born and raised in beautiful Sydney, Gai Waterhouse was awarded an AJC license in 1992 and won her first race in the same year.
Having won just about every horse race in Australia and abroad, Gai Waterhouse’s 2023 Cox Plate victory could well be within her grasp.
Gai Waterhouse is loved by all Australians and we wish her good luck in obtaining the elusive Cox Plate horse race.
