NRL Melbourne Storm vs Sydney Roosters Finals Week 1 Tips

NRL Melbourne Storm vs. Sydney Roosters Finals Week 2 Tips

The Melbourne Storm NRL team plays against the Sydney Roosters in the 2nd week of the semi-finals. Tipping the winner of this rugby league match is not so easy.

Melbourne Storm Tips & Review

Melbourne Storm played some average footy last weekend and came up with a big loss against the Broncos 26-0.

Tipping against any team coached by Craig Bellamy is a hard bet to place. The Melbourne coach has the ability to lift a team and motivate the players he coaches.

The club has had a stellar year to date, but last week they underperformed and were found lacking in defense. The Storms forward pack failed to defend as a unit, and we saw 1 and 2 tacklers in the tackle instead of 2’s and 3s.

The defense failed to slow the ball down, and their opponent took full advantage and scored some easy tries. We are tipping coach Craig Bellamy will be pushing his team hard on defensive drills during the week, and have his players tackling as a pack rather than individuals.

The Melbourne Storm were riddled with injuries last week, having 8 players on the sidelines. 4 of the 8 will return in week 2 of the semi-finals this weekend. With a team so heavily riddled with injuries it is easy to see why the big loss in last week’s finals.

The Melbourne Storm NRL team has only lost once in the last four games of rugby league against the Sydney Roosters.

Sydney Roosters Tips & Review

The Sydney Roosters NRL team played a tight game of rugby league last weekend, playing above fans and experts’ expectations. Beating the Sharks by 1 point, it was one of the closest matches in 2023, most tipsters were betting against the Roosters.

Captain of the Roosters James was sent off the field and into the sin bin in the second half. When he was allowed back on the field, he played some brilliant footy and has been praised by the NRL community for his effort and contribution to the Sydney Roosters’ inspirational win against the Sharks.

It was hard to fault the Roosters in last week’s final match, and tipping them for the win this weekend might just be a good bet.

The bookmakers have the Roosters as serious underdogs and the odds are attractive if you are a Roosters supporter.

PlayUp has the Roosters at $3.85 for the win.
