New Zealand Warriors NRL Starting Team 2023

The New Zealand Warriors NRL team was first inducted into the National Rugby League competition in 1995. Based in Auckland the team has won one minor premiership and made the finals eight times including two grand finals matches.

The Team’s History

It took the New Zealand Warriors 6 years to make their first finals appearance in 2001 against the Melbourne Storm. In 2002 the New Zealand Warriors made the Grand Finals and won the minor premiership. In 2003 the team made the finals again. In 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2018 and 2023 a top-eight position was earned.

Team Colors

The New Zealand Warriors have kept the same colours throughout their history in the NRL competition. Green, Red, Blue and white.

As the only team in the NRL in New Zealand, the Auckland Warriors have always had great sponsors. In 2023 the footy team were sponsored by, Mazda, NZ Herald, Flava, DTR, Best Foods and AysBuild.
