Mitchell Moses Rejects $5.2 Million Deal

Mitchell Moses Parramatta Eels NRL halfback has rejected a massive deal that would have been worth $5.2 million dollars. Instead, he decided to stay with his current team Parramatta Eels. The West Tigers rugby league team offered a huge $5.2 Million dollars for a four-year contract.

Mitchell Moses One Of The Most Sought-After Players In 2023

His contract expired in November 2022, several clubs were chasing him and attempting to sign the player. Mitchell took his time to re-sign with Parramatta. The Sydney Morning Herald reported that his new deal with Parramatta will be worth around $1.25 Million Dollars per year making him one of the highest-paid rugby league players in the NRL.

What Makes Mitchell Moses Such A Good Player?

Mitchell Moses is a player who can lift himself when the time arises. In 2022 he received several man-of-the-match awards and was instrumental in the semi-finals for the Parramatta Eels. 

In the semi-finals, the Eels first lost he had an ordinary game that resulted in a loss he was carried from the field with a head concussion. 

In the next match, against Canberra, Michell Moses came out firing scoring a try and kicking six goals for Parramatta. He is a disciplined experienced player who helps drive his team and was instrumental in Parramatta making the grand final in 2022 the Eel’s first grand final since 2009.

Why Moses Turned Down The Deal?

The Eels are a real contender in 2023 to be the winning premiership side. The Parramatta Eels has depth within its coaching staff and is led by legend Brad Arthur and assistant coach Trent Barrett the rugby league team is set to have a cracking 2023 season. 

Any player who believes firmly that their current team has a real chance of winning the premiership would be reluctant to leave. Mitchell Moses turning down other lucrative deals to stay with his current club is a good indicator he believes they are a real contender for the 2023 NRL Premiership.
